An interesting development besides just private military providers like Blackwater are private military consultants. Firms like MPRI have become the McKinsey or Accenture for world militaries; MPRI was very active in the 1990s Yugoslav wars in training the (US-backed) Croatian military to repel the Serbian Army.</description>
